The shop

Dealer-level work from a Welland shop

Tony Berardocco is a 310S Red Seal technician with Ford and GM dealer training and years in independent shops. He opened Berardocco Auto at 230 Colborne St on August 31, 2026.

Tony was born and raised in Welland. He trained at Ford and GM dealerships, where the diagnostic and programming work happens, then spent years in independent shops seeing the other side: customers paying dealer prices for jobs a good independent could do, or getting parts replaced on a guess because the shop did not have the tools to find the fault.

So he opened his own shop. Same scan tools, same programming access, same wiring data he had at the dealership. Here, the guy who finds the fault is the guy you talk to.

He shows you the fault while the car is up on the hoist and tells you what can wait. These are his neighbours' vehicles. He would rather see one back for its next oil change than back for the same problem.

Berardoccosay it bear-A-doc-ohNobody gets it right the first time. Tony answers to most attempts.

Credentials

Licensed and dealer trained

What each one means.

  • 310S Red Seal Licensed

310S is the Ontario Automotive Service Technician licence. The Red Seal endorsement means Tony passed the interprovincial exam, so the licence is recognized in every province.

  • Ford Dealer Trained

Factory training on Ford systems, diagnostic software and programming procedures, from working in a Ford dealership.

  • GM Dealer Trained

The same on the GM side: factory training on GM modules, scan tools and programming, from working in a GM dealership.

How we work

How every job is handled

  • Diagnose before replacing parts

The code tells him where to look. He tests until the cause is confirmed, so you pay for one repair instead of a string of guesses.

  • Dealer-level tools without dealer pricing

Tony trained on factory diagnostic and programming tools at Ford and GM and does that work here in Welland, at independent shop rates.

  • You approve every job before it starts

You get a written quote with parts and labour listed before any work begins.

  • The mechanical work too

Brakes, suspension, oil changes and safety inspections are done by the same technician who does the diagnostics.
